Asylum Chapel & Mildmay Club Wedding
Aimee & Jack’s wedding at Asylum Chapel and Mildmay Club, London
Aimee and Jack are both hardcore Elvis fans and love music from that era. They wanted their passion for music to shine through the day, from their outfits to the venue choice, and of course the band on the dance floor. Their reception at the Mildmay Club, a quirky gentlemen’s club themed venue in Newington Green, was the perfect backdrop to bring their storyboard together.
It was one of those days where everything fell into place, and every corner offered moments to capture. As a documentary wedding photographer, I love capturing couples who bring personality and style into every detail of their wedding. Aimee and Jack’s Asylum Chapel and Mildmay Club wedding was memorable, fun, and full of authentic moments.
The bride didn’t want formal shots, so I quietly captured the small and big moments and observed the preparations. We headed to Asylum Chapel in Peckham in a vintage white cab, a venue I’ve photographed many times and absolutely love. Its cinematic, authentic vibe provided the perfect setting for natural, emotive wedding photography.
The ceremony at Asylum Chapel was intimate and chill, with a sprinkle of emotion towards the end. Aimee and Jack were eager to enjoy drinks and canapés with their guests, which meant I could focus on capturing candid moments, and the natural story unfolding as the day progresed.
The reception at Mildmay Club was full of style, music, and energy. From the live band to the dance floor, the couple’s love for music was evident everywhere. Enjoy a small selection of my favourite photos.
