Serena & Alfred’s wedding at MKII in East London.

I’ve photographed many East London weddings, and Serena & Alfred’s day at MKII was full of personality, style, and energy. MKII is a fantastic studio space, with an industrial feel. This was my first time at the venue, and since then I have been several times, and absolute love what couple do with the space. It never feels the same, and offers bride and grooms a basket canvas for their wedding plans.

The ceremony took place at Hackney Town Hall, a fantastic pairing of wedding venues for this day.

Serena & Alfred are one of the most stylish couples I’ve photographed. Serena’s striking red dress and the couple’s carefully curated décor brought incredible color and personality to the day, all put together by the couple themselves. Their outfits and design choices made the MKII space feel even more vibrant and personal, creating a celebration that truly reflected their vision.

As a documentary wedding photographer, I focused on capturing the natural moments, layering stories, compositions and searching for interesting light whilst keeping the style very mu candid and true to the moment.

The reception at MKII was full of energy and personality. The day ended with a stream of emotional speeches, some fun gimmicks by mum and dad, and by the end of it my battery was drained! To many great action shots kept me moving all day.
