Hackney Town Hall Committee Room Wedding | Jessica & Daniel

A small Hackney Town Hall ceremony, followed by a pub lunch in Camden and a packed dancefloor in Kentish Town.

Jessica & Daniel’s Hackney Town Hall wedding began with an intimate ceremony in the committee room, a quieter and more personal space within one of London’s most popular registry offices. As a Hackney Town Hall wedding photographer , it’s always interesting to see how couples use the different rooms available to shape a day that feels completely their own.

While many people picture the larger Atrium space, the committee room offers something different - a more stripped-back, relaxed setting that works perfectly for smaller weddings and close gatherings.

An Intimate Ceremony at Hackney Town Hall

With a small group of family and friends, the committee room created a relaxed and close atmosphere where every moment felt personal. These smaller Hackney Town Hall weddings have a different kind of energy, more immediate, more connected, and perfect for capturing natural, candid moments.

If you’re considering the different ceremony spaces, you can also see how the larger rooms are used here at Amina & Pip’s Atrium hackney Wedding, which offers a completely different experience.

After the ceremony, we jumped in a cab and headed to The Parakeet in Camden for a laid-back pub reception. Speeches were shared over lunch, and the whole afternoon felt informal and easy - a great example of a London pub wedding done right.

Later, the celebrations continued in Kentish Town, where more friends joined and the energy picked up. Confetti, hugs, and a packed dancefloor brought everything together for a proper end to the day. If you are planning your own pub wedding in London, and love the sound of documentary wedding photography, I would love to hear from you, and read all about your plans.
